Hosting and downloads

Hosted by STRATO (strato.de). Technical server logs may include IP address, date/time, requested file, size, referrer, browser and OS for delivery, security, diagnostics and abuse prevention under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Default: anonymised IP storage and retention for 60 days. Downloads generate the same technical server data.

Local app data

Measurement times, process IDs and creation times, executable/script paths and I/O counters stay in the local data folder. Complete command lines are encrypted locally with user-bound Windows DPAPI and are not served by the local report. No recording upload occurs. Recording files may be removed manually after stopping the app and background process. The installation ID is stored independently.

Update check and installation ID

At startup the app checks its HTTPS version file at most once per calendar day. A random product-specific installation ID is stored persistently in a local file and in the user registry and sent for product usage statistics. It contains no hardware or account information. A 90-day deadline starts only after a newer published version has been successfully detected. After that deadline the app requires an update before a new recording. Network failure alone never starts a deadline; an existing deadline remains in effect.

Contact and recipients

Mail/post contact is processed to handle requests under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) or (f), normally for 60 days unless legal retention or an ongoing matter requires otherwise. No advertising or analytics services are used by the website. Browser language preference may be stored locally. STRATO receives technical website data; no additional independent third-country transfer is planned.
