Does it delete files?

No. Neither scanning nor answer processing includes a deletion function. “Safe” is a task's assessment, not a guarantee.

Why wait ten minutes?

Queries run sequentially. The dispatch interval survives restarts, and the current answer must also finish.

Are my results published?

No. Queries use your Codex account; answers and reports stay local. They are not sent to this product website.

How do updates work?

Version 2.1.1 does not yet have a published automatic update channel. Check the release page and install a newer setup manually. Updates preserve user data. This version does not implement an automatic 90-day lockout.

Why might SmartScreen or antivirus warn?

Valid signatures confirm integrity and publisher but do not guarantee safety or established SmartScreen reputation. Verify the source, signature and checksum. VirusTotal review for this release is pending. Do not disable protection indiscriminately.
