Does Video Align use WCS?
Only when usable WCS exists. Typical MP4 has none, so this version uses detected stars, phase correlation and affine RANSAC.
Is the pseudoflat a scientific flat frame?
No. It is an estimate from the temporal median of the original video and may suppress real stationary extended structure. Use measured calibration frames whenever available.
Why are borders white?
The canvas includes every recorded region. White explicitly marks areas absent from a particular transformed frame.
Is the software free?
Yes, version 1.3.0 is offered free of charge.
