Historical and current source list

The table contains every entry in the ESA/CNEOS source list used here. Objects with validated OBS80 and state data can be opened interactively. Any source conflict or independent model segment is retained and shown rather than silently bridged.

2026 JN4: ESA-priority view with an explicit source gap

At the user's direction, Target-Earth uses ESA's published 15 May 2026 15:39:28 UTC value as the terminal time. CNEOS reports 13:36:33 UTC, a difference of 7,375 seconds, and the available JPL state at that CNEOS time remains about 2,440 km away from the stated 50 km endpoint geometry. ESA's own June 2026 newsletter also said that no solid atmospheric-entry confirmation had yet been found; ESA nevertheless added 2026 JN4 to its updated Past Impactors list in July 2026.

The interactive view therefore contains two deliberately separate pieces: the JPL/CNEOS orbit through 13:36:33 UTC and a 3.5-second straight-line entry model ending at ESA's selected time. The model uses ESA's 17.34 km/s, −55.5° flight-path angle and 217.3° azimuth, plus the CNEOS coordinate 9.10° S, 137.10° E at 50 km. This coordinate/time combination is an explicit modelling assumption, not a unified source solution. The gap between both pieces is never interpolated. Nearest broad geographic term: Arafura Sea.

An archived ECMWF IFS 0.25° wind profile was retrieved for the endpoint area. It is preserved as provenance but not applied to the nominal trajectory: the available profile covers only the lower atmosphere, while fragmentation mass, drag and debris fall time are unknown. Applying it would create false precision.
